તેજની ડંફાશના બોજાથકી;
જૂઇની કળીને ખભે
ટેકવી માથું શિશુશો ઢળી પડ્યો!

અવાવરુ વાવતણે ઊંડાણે
આ લીલની ઝૂલભરેલ શાન્તિ;
એ ઓઢી પોઢ્યો શિશુ શો અહીં શશી,
સ્વપ્નો ગૂંથે રેશમી ભાત રે કશી!
