તારે અંતર, ઓ સખિ, મરીને સરજું બાળ; ચંપાવું તુજ ઉપર પરે, આ માથું આ વાળ. અથવા પથ્થર બનું પ્રહારો સહેતાં – તારે કાને હજાર ગાન ગાવાં હતાં! શીખવિયું તેં જ સદા મૂંગા રહેતાં – તારે કાને હજાર ગાન ગાતાં હતાં!
