ભાષા મને લખે

કવિતા કરતાં કરતાં
ભાષા મને લખે
અને મને ખબર પણ ન પડે
કે મને છેકતી જાય
છેકાતો અક્ષર તે હું જ અને શાહીનો લીટો પણ હું
ફરી લખાતા કોઈ અક્ષરમાંથી કદાચ મારા નામની એંધાણી મળશે
એમ માની હું લખ્યું જાઉં
અને શાહી ભાષામાં ઓગળી જાય
ઝાડની હલબલતી છાયાને તાણી જતી નદીની જેમ
હવે પાંદડાંની જેમ અક્ષરોને ઓઢી હું ઝાડ જેવો ઊભો રહું
વરસતા લીટા હેઠળ.
